They say that it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day (I’m one of the lucky ones myself), and if that is the case then Melissa and Brian can start planning what they might like to do with their future lottery winnings- because never before have I seen such a perfectly timed, torrentially intense event grace a couple’s nuptials! Melissa and Brian chose a beautiful old oak grove in the Arnold Arboretum for their intimate ceremony. Only their parents, three closest friends, and two dogs were in attendance, and everyone came prepared with an umbrella (ok, the dogs didn’t, but they didn’t seem to mind getting wet). It was as if the heavens opened up just to wash the world clean for this newly minted married pair. Nothing could wash the smiles off their faces, however, and in fact as we walked away from the oak grove, the rain let up and the trees and other plants sparkled for their picture-taking session. I’m sure their after-party was filled with lots more sparkle, too (and fewer umbrellas).
